SHREDATHON - in aid of Sport in Mind

Shred your old paperwork for a good cause this November

Got a drawer full of old bank statements you've been meaning to deal with? Here's your chance. On Sunday 22 November, we're holding a Shredathon at Reading FC's Select Car Leasing Stadium. Bring your old paperwork and have it securely shredded on the spot in return for a donation to Sport In Mind.

It's a quick, easy way to clear the clutter, protect yourself from identity theft and support a brilliant local charity, all in one go.

When and where:

• Date: Sunday 22 November
• Time: 9:30am to 11:30am
• Place: Fanstore car park, Select Car Leasing Stadium, Reading RG2 0FL
• Donation: Pay by cash or card on the day

Bring your paperwork in bags or boxes and we'll take it from there.

What to bring

Anything with personal or financial details on it is ideal, for example:

• Bank statements and chequebooks
• Pension and insurance documents
• Payslips and employment records
• Household bills and receipts
• Private letters and diaries
• Legal paperwork
• Healthcare correspondence
• Personally addressed junk mail

Paper documents only, please. We can't take plastic wallets, folders or laminated paper. You don't need to remove staples or paper clips, though, so there's no fiddly prep.

Safe, secure and done in minutes

All documents will be shredded on site by SHREDiFi's mobile shredding truck, so your paperwork never leaves the car park in one piece. SHREDiFi is a confidential shredding specialist, and secure destruction is what they do every day.

Putting sensitive papers in the household recycling can leave you open to fraud. Having them shredded professionally is the safest way to get rid of them for good.

Supporting Sport In Mind

Every donation on the day goes to Sport In Mind, a Reading-based charity that uses sport and physical activity to help people with their mental health. The event is run in association with Reading Football Club.

So have a clear-out, fill a bag or two, and come and see us on Sunday 22 November between 9:30 and 11:30am. You'll leave with a tidier home and the feeling of having done something good for your community.
